A week or so ago, I was in my local chinese restaurant.

While waiting, I saw that the place was buzzing and the queue for a table was getting bigger and bigger. The restaurant was doing a roaring trade and the owner must have been delighted because he was so busy.

It was to be expected though as it was a Friday night and virtually every restaurant is busy at the end of the week.

3 Tips to Running a Loyalty Club

Here are 3 tips on how to use this marketing tactic, which really is one of the most effective, yet most overlooked, marketing strategy around.

  • 1) Understand WHY it works:

This list of customers is going to be like gold dust to you. Why? Well ask yourself this: who are the people who are most likely to visit your business and buy from you next week? Is it the people who have NEVER made a purchase from you before, OR is the people who have purchased from you in the past?

Obviously it is the people who have bought from you on previous occasions. Why? Because they already know who you are. They have bought your product or used your services before.   • 3) Keep your customers interested:

This is VERY important. For your marketing to be effective, be inventive and keep your customers interested.

Here are some suggestions: Hold a monthly contest or draw for customer of the month, send out unique offers for club members only, send our daily coupons, subscriber specials or even let know about your employee of the month.

The options are endless but you need to engage with them. The point is that they will not be interested in reading sales pitches or ‘come buy my product’ type emails day after day. It simply won’t work if you do that.
